Faux Painting

The feinting of noble materials has been around for centuries with the purpose of emulate them whether in solutions in which the material’s nature prevented its application or it presented very high costs. Traditionally they are painted with oil paints allowing the painter to work for long periods of time. In recent years with the development of acrylic paints and it’s fine tuning towards the needs of the faux painting techniques the acrylics are gaining prominence over oil because of it’s non yellowing and low to non-existent toxicity.
