Because every object and owner have different approaches we offer solutions from the conservative perspective in which the intervention is minimal allowing the piece to maintain it’s own appearance therefore legacy, or we can use a more elaborate approach by studding it and restoring it’s original (or the most close to it as possible) and intended finish.
In the end whichever solution selected the object will always remain a document of it’s time, and the history it holds will be safeguarded for years to come.
Selected worksWe are a duo of decorative artisans working together since 2002 in the most various projects given to us.
Our work began in the early days of our higher education studies, in the field of landscape design. After a few years we embraced another challenge working with art pieces, in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, our second bachelor’s degree. That gave us a higher conscience on the importance of the preservation of our artistic heritage.
Nowadays, while we still work in the preservation of art and artifacts from the past, we are reclaiming old materials and techniques, some of them on the verge of oblivion in the fields of the decorative arts.
Our goal is to master as much substances as we can, in order to fill all the gaps we face everyday in our labour mostly by loss of knowledge concerning specific techniques and materials in the field of the decorative arts.
We work for the preservation of the material and the immaterial, so that the aesthetics that once were, can thrive alongside with the most innovative solutions.
We also do consultancy in the decorative arts world as well as in conservation and restoration projects.
